Consent & usage
Last updated July 2026
Vocast clones voices on your Mac. These are the rules for whose voice you may clone, and how your data is handled.
Only voices you may use
Clone your own voice, or a voice you have explicit permission to use. Do not clone someone's voice to impersonate them or without their consent.
Your data stays on your Mac
Your voice recordings, scripts, and rendered audio never leave your device. Vocast runs fully on-device, with no account and no cloud. Speech models download once, then everything runs offline.
What we can and cannot see
We cannot access your voice, scripts, or renders. Vocast has no account and no server of ours. Your purchase is handled by Apple on the App Store, so we never see your payment details.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for how you use the audio you generate. Do not use Vocast to deceive, impersonate, or harm others.
