Support

Last updated August 2026

Vocast runs entirely on your Mac. There is no account to recover and no server to check, so most questions are about setup, permissions, or a render that did not come out the way you wanted. Write to us and a person will answer.

Ask a question

Email us with what you were doing, what you expected, and what happened instead. Your macOS version and Mac model help us answer faster. Bug reports and feature requests go to the same address.

Common questions

Which Mac do I need

An Apple Silicon Mac (M1 or newer) running macOS 15 or later. Voice cloning uses on-device Metal acceleration, so Intel Macs are not supported.

The first launch is downloading something

Vocast downloads its speech models once, the first time you use them. That step needs a network connection and can take a few minutes. After it finishes, everything runs offline. If the download stalls, check your connection and reopen the app; it resumes.

Vocast cannot hear my microphone

macOS asks for microphone access the first time you record a voice sample. If you declined, open System Settings, go to Privacy and Security, then Microphone, turn Vocast on, and reopen the app.

Where do my exported files go

Vocast asks every time. Each export opens a standard save panel where you pick the folder and the file name. Nothing is written to a preset location.

My voice profile does not sound like me

Record about ninety seconds in a quiet room, one voice only, no music or background noise, at a steady distance from the mic. A noisy or very short sample is the usual cause. You can build several profiles and keep the one you like.

A narration failed or stopped partway

Vocast scores every render and rejects one that misses a quality gate rather than shipping it. Try regenerating the block, or split a very long paragraph into shorter ones. If it keeps failing, email us the script text and we will look at it.

Refunds and billing

Vocast is a one-time purchase on the Mac App Store, and Apple handles all payments and refunds. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com or from your App Store purchase history. See our refund policy for details.

What data do you have about me

None. Vocast has no account and no server of ours. Your voice recordings, scripts, and renders stay on your Mac, so there is nothing for us to look up or delete on our side.
